GAV’S WEATHER – SCORCHING HOT SUMMER

We’re only two months in but it is highly likely that this summer will be the hottest on record for Australia and the region has certainly copped the brunt of the heat with a lot more to come.
The Hunter Valley has already exceeded its most days over 40 degrees which was 5.
The Valley will probably reach 10 days over 40 within the fortnight. Moree has experienced 33 days in a row over 35.
And there is no relief in sight for the North-West with plenty more high 30 and low 40 degree days to come as we move into the first week of February.
The northern NSW coast will also continue to fell the heat with constant NW to NE winds.
