INMATE ON THE RUN AFTER ESCAPING MINIMUM SECURITY PRISON

A man is on the run after escaping a minimum security prison in the northern tablelands yesterday.

Paul Reginald Dunn, 36, was last sighted by staff at the minimum security facility at around 3.30 yesterday afternoon.

The alarm was raised at 5.15pm the same day, when he failed to attend muster, and subsequent searches of the correctional centre failed to locate the man.

Mr Dunn is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, medium complexion, 175cm tall, slim build, brown hair in a crew cut style and clean shaven, with tattoos on both wrists and the side of his neck.

He was last seen wearing prison greens.

He was in custody, charged with assault offences.

Anyone who sights Paul Reginald Dunn is urged to contact police.
