It will be at least another month before the multi-million-dollar upgrade of Houston Mitchell Drive is complete.
The work was meant to be done by October last year, but Port Macquarie-Hastings Council says it should be finished by March, weather permitting.
The major link road is being widened and resurfaced, to improve safety and alleviate congestion.
