GUYRA RESIDENTS WANT THEIR COUNCIL BACK

Meanwhile Guyra residents have launched a petition to re-instate the town as a stand alone council, as Gladys Berejiklian takes up her new role as New South Wales Premier.
Guyra was forced to amalgamate with Armidale in May last year, with the joint body known as Armidale Regional Council.
The petition will be circulated around the state among calls for all forced council mergers in New South Wales to be reversed.
Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall has signalled his support for the petition.
