As football fever builds on the Mid North Coast, the Sydney Swans are set to return to Coffs Harbour in less than a month.
Coffs Harbour City Council says it has been able to secure a pre-season clash between the Swans and North Melbourne next month, as part of the JLT Community Series.
A similar match in 2015 between the Brisbane Lions and Sydney attracted a 4,000 strong crowd.
“Working with AFL, they’re very confident in Coffs Harbour’s ability to host such an event and pre-planning’s underway now. February 19 is a few weeks away, so plenty of time to get it all happening.”
Tickets will go on sale at the end of the month.
