THE LIVERPOOL PLAINS AT TOP OF BAIRD’S ACHIEVEMENT LIST
Mike Baird’s resignation has sent waves through the New England region, with local members spending the day reflecting on his government’s achievements.
Last year’s $220-million dollar buy-back of the B-H-P Caroona site was at the top of Mr Baird’s accomplishment’s list.
“Looking after the soils of the Liverpool Plains purchasing back that coal license at Caroona I think is a hall mark achievement,” he said.
Members have also praised the outgoing Premier for fast-tracking several hospital re-developments across the region, including Tamworth, Armidale and Inverell.
