Glen Innes rugby union junior Alex Newsome has signed for the Western Force for the 20-17 Super Rugby season.
The outside back impressed and caught the coaches attention with his form for the New South Wales Country Eagles, in last year’s National Rugby Championship.
Meanwhile, his junior club has merged with the Guyra Ghosts in the New England Rugby competition, with the hope of being more competitive.
