MANNING HOSPITAL REDEVELOPMENT UNDERWAY
Construction work at Manning Base Hospital is on track, as Local Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead today inspected its progress.
The work is part of the hospital’s $20-million redevelopment, which will see a new oncology centre and upgraded parking.
“This is the new carpark going in, they’re digging the holes that are in the ground, very shortly we’ll see the pylons coming out of the ground and then when that’s completed we can then go to the demolition of the other carpark in high street,” Mr Bromhead said.
Temporary parking arrangements have been in place since the start of the month.
“The car parking situation hasn’t been the big crisis we thought it was, being able to segregate some parking under the old mental health building for patients and carers is working really well,” Lower Mid North Coast, General Manager Jodi Nieass said.
The entire project is set to be completed by the end of 2019.
