The North Companions Football Club received a healthy funding boost today, with the state government committing more than $18,000 to upgrade its home ground.
A new soccer field will be built at the Marius Street complex, designed to be used by junior teams for their growth and development.
“It separates the senior part of the club and the junior part from a training point of view. So, there’s no interaction there. Everyone can spread out a little bit further and it provides less stress on the fields.”
The work is expected to be complete ahead of the 20-18 season.
