COUNCIL, ARMY, COMBINE TO TACKLE WOODEN BRIDGES

Kyogle Council and the Australian Army have joined forces, to combat the town’s wooden bridge problem.

Royal Australian Regiment troops have spent the last three weeks working with council staff, to repair several load-bearing timber bridges throughout the area.

Designed to hone construction and maintenance skills – the exercise proved so successful, another’s already being planned for later this year.
