MOTORBIKE CONFISCATED AFTER RIDER’S ALLEGED HIGH RANGE SPEEDING
A 27-year-old man has had his motorbike confiscated, after he allegedly travelled at 200 kilometres an hour on the Central Coast yesterday.
Police were patrolling the Pacific Highway at Somersby just before 3pm, when they say they saw the rider travelling 108km/h in a 60 zone.
Officers attempted to stop the bike, but the accused allegedly accelerated at the speed of 200km/h.
The rider was arrested a short time later, his license was suspended for six months and he was issued an infringement notice.
He’ll appear at Hornsby Local Court later this month.
