A fire has destroyed a bowling club in the north west last night.
Shortly after 5pm, emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the Willow Tree Bowling Club, about 85 kms north of Muswellbrook.
Four RFS crews were able to extinguish the blaze by about 1am, by which time the roof had collapsed.
It’s thought that the blaze began in the back of the building, near the kitchen. Club memorabilia including honour boards, were lost in the blaze.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious, but investigators are working to determine the cause.
