A Surfers Paradise man has been granted bail after allegedly punching a woman in the face repeatedly during an attack in August last year.
Police allege the assault occurred when the woman was given a lift to a home at Coorparoo, in Brisbane’s south.
The assault left the woman requiring eye surgery and a metal plate insert.
27-year-old Nicolas Bechar was charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm.
He was granted bail today on the condition he make no contact with the woman and two others.
In another incident, Mr Bechar was charged last year after he allegedly pulled out a replica firearm at a Brisbane nightclub in October.
Both matters will return to court later this month.
