Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, after a man was struck by a car outside Taree on the state’s mid-north coast.
Emergency services were called to Wingham Road just after 9pm last night, following reports a man had been hit by a Toyota Landcruiser.
The 30-year-old was treated at the scene, before being flown to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Landcruiser – a 74-year-old woman – drove a short distance before calling Triple 0.
Anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
