LONG HOLIDAY QUEUES ON PACIFIC HIGHWAY

The slow pilgrimage north is well and truly on as holiday makers hit the road for Christmas.

There are already queues 3.5-kilometres long northbound approaching the John Renshaw Drive roundabout at Beresfield.

Further north at Macksville the queue is up to 14 kilometres long, and drivers are being advised to allow an extra 35 minutes travel time.

At Woodburn, the northbound queue is 5 kilometres long.

Motorists are asked to be patient and allow plenty of extra time to travel.
