The people behind the proposed Kensington nightclub in Newcastle have launched a Facebook page to try and rally support for the project.
More than 3000 people have already joined, posting comments such as “get it happening” and “Newcastle needs something new.”
An online poll has also been started.
An application to transfer the liquor licence from the old Jolly Roger nightspot to the proposed Hunter Street site was knocked back last week.
