A SWINGING SUCCESS

The Purfleet Aboriginal community, near Taree, has welcomed a very colourful and exciting addition to the area.
A brand-new playground shaped as a boomerang is now complete- quickly becoming a huge hit with local children.
“Seesaws for the little kids, seesaws for the big kids and a huge climbing set!”
“We partnered with Biripi Medical Service and MidCoast council, applied for a grant and won the grant and the Purfleet Land Council donated $8,000 to ensure we had the park that we wanted for the kids,” Purfleet-Taree Land Council CEO, Joedie Lawler said.
It’s been 20 years since the mission last had a playground.
