SEVEN CHARGED FOLLOWING HUNTER DRUG RAIDS
Seven people have been charged with a string of offences following simultaneous drug raids on six Hunter properties.
Officers attached to Strike Force Oleria executed search warrants at Abermain, Weston and Chisholm yesterday morning.
Two men aged 21 and 55 will face Maitland Local Court today after police allegedly found a handgun, two shotguns, various rifles, methylamphetamine and cannabis leaf at a home on Charles Street at Abermain.
Two other homes were raided on Charles Street, resulting in the arrest of two 23-year-old men and a 20-year-old woman.
Police also searched a property on John Street at Abermain, however no-one was arrested.
Meanwhile a 31-year-old man is facing multiple drug offences after police allegedly seized a pill press, various substances believed to be illegal drugs and tools used to manufacture illegal drugs from a home on Threadtail Street at Chisholm.
A 33-year-old woman was also charged following a search of a property on Ellis Street at Weston.
