- Twin toddlers remain in hospital in a critical condition after they were pulled from a backyard swimming pool in Sydney’s north-west. The girl and boy, aged 23 months, were treated by paramedics at the scene and then taken to hospital.
- At least 27 people have died and dozens are injured after an explosion went off in a fireworks market in Mexico. A flurry of fireworks exploding as a massive plume of smoke rose above the market.
- Pauline Hanson’s Chief of Staff, James Ashby, is being accused of intimidating One Nation candidates into using his printing business for their campaign material.
- Sydney trains have returned to normal today, after a blackout last night left hundreds of commuters stranded on platforms and trapped inside carriages.
- And some of the world’s best surfers have tackled 10 metre waves off the coast of Portugal as part of the Big Wave Tour.
