Mikaela Short has capped a stellar year in the pool, named the North West Schools Sportsperson of the year.
The Oxley High School student set a New South Wales CHS record in the 100 metre butterfly.
Armidale City Public’s Ollie Freeman was judged junior sportsperson of the year, after taking out the New South Wales PSSA long jump title.
While after nearly a decade of representing the region, Bronte Harris was awarded with the Services to Sport award.
The 18 year old was selected for North West in six different sports.
