PARKING AND TRAFFIC CONCERNS DELAY HOTEL DECISION

A decision on a new high-rise hotel in Coffs Harbour’s CBD, won’t be made until some key issues are resolved.
The Joint Regional Planning Panel last night considered plans for a 43 metre high, 80-room hotel at this prime site at Coffs Central.
It found the current plan is too high for the zoning and doesn’t provide enough car parking.
It also found issues with traffic flows and access.
The JRPP resolved to re-consider the proposal after parking and traffic studies have been completed.
