Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, has welcomed a study into the productivity and growth of regional economies across Australia.
The report has been commissioned by the Coalition, and will explore the benefits of its current de-centralisation scheme.
“De-centralisation is one of the things that are at the hub of regional development, and to look at what water infastructure brings, and the utilisation of water and how that brings wealth into our areas. Real wealth, sustainable wealth.”
A rural government agency will be relocated to Armidale as part of the de-centralisation project.
