MIXED FORTUNES FOR HUNTER CRICKETERS IN WBBL

It’s been a mixed weekend for Hunter-bred cricketers in the Women’s Big Bash League.

Playing for Hobart in a double-header, Corrine Hall was dismissed cheaply in the Hurricanes’ win over Perth yesterday.

This morning, she spent a little more time at the crease, reaching 13 off 11 balls.

Unfortunately her side fell to the Scorchers by 17.

Sam Bates didn’t get the chance bat as her Sydney Thunder took on the Melbourne Stars.

She was economical with the ball, finishing with none for 18 from four overs, but the Thunder still lost by six.
