A man armed with a handgun has held up a licensed premises on the Gold Coast overnight.
At around 9:30pm, the man entered the venue on Pine Avenue in Surfers Paradise, demanding money.
A 26-year-old female staff member handed over a sum of cash.
The man has then attempted to flee, but slipped and dropped some of the money. One of the patrons has then chased the intruder from the premises.
Nobody was injured.
Police attended the scene but the offender could not be located. The man was dressed in black, and had his face concealed.
