From coffee cups to old socks, some of the region’s rubbish has been given a new life in a multi-sensory rainforest display at Taree.
The Frugal Forest exhibit recently took out a prize at the New South Wales Local Government Excellence in the Environment Awards.
“A local group called frugal arts created all these workshops and went around schools, galleries everywhere and worked with kids, adults to make every little component of this rainforest.”
The exhibition will remain open until January 15, at Manning Regional Art Gallery.
