Meanwhile waiting times in the emergency department at Tamworth Hospital have improved, more than 75 per cent of patients being treated, admitted or discharged within four hours of arrival in the July to September period.
This is a jump of 12.3 per cent from the same period last year.
These figures come as the hospital enters its final stages of its $211-million upgrade.
