As Christmas closes in, not-for profit organisations on the Mid North Coast are calling for volunteers to lend them a hand.
At a ceremony recognising volunteers today, Coffs Harbour City Mission’s Family Support Officer, Joy King said demand for welfare assistance had increased substantially over the past six months…
And it’s only expected to rise over the coming weeks.
“People in distress sort of come out of the woodwork coming up to Christmas, so yea, we need more volunteers, to have the throughput of our product.”
