State-of-the-art flooring and an outdoor sensory area will be among the high-tech additions to the Tinonee Gardens aged care facility at Waratah, as part of a major expansion.
Today, management and staff marked the start of construction for the $20-million upgrade.
“Better sized rooms, better facilities with bathrooms, a technical floor that talks to the staff – all sorts of things,” said Chairman Graham Mullane.
The expansion will also create room for another 52 residents.
It’s expected to be complete by October next year.
