HUNTER’S NEW LIFE SAVERS PUT THROUGH THEIR PACES
The Hunter’s newest surf life savers were put through their paces at Stockton today, as part of the final exam for their bronze medallions.
“They need to be put through their run swim run, to ensure that they can be safe in the water, they do a board rescue and a tube rescue of a patient, they do scenarios that includes spinal management, CPR and other things that might happen on the beach,” says examiner Debbie Booth.
Candidates from the Hunter branch’s 13 clubs took part, once certified they’ll be ready to don the red and yellow across the region’s beaches.
