COAST CLUBS CLAIM COUNTRY SILVER

Central Coast water polo clubs have claimed silver in the inaugural New South Wales under-14 Country Championships in Newcastle.

Gosford boys were Minor Premiers following round robin matches, but went down eight-six against Canberra side Nordek in the decider.

Woy Woy also finished second in the girls division, beaten by Central Newcastle eight-five.

Referee Emily Hughes was recognised, receiving the Junior Encouragement Award, while Zoe Stimson was invited to officiate at the State Titles in Dubbo next month.
