BELLINGEN SAYS NO TO MONSANTO

Residents of Bellingen joined a world-wide movement today, protesting against American based agricultural corporation, Monsanto.

Hundreds turned out to show their opposition towards its genetically modified produce.

  2. Thanks you NBN for this news story. GM food and the lack of its regulation and the overwhelming manipulation of facts provided to policy makers who remain uninformed about the far reaching and all encompassing consequences is an extremely serious issue which needs addressing.

    We all thank you for allowing the wider public to know about the march and some of the concerns of those who have participated in this peaceful global protest. We owe it to our descendents to prevent Monsanto for monopolising food production solely to improve their bottom line at an unacceptably high cost to farmers, seed banks, consumer health and the environment.
