If you’re a regular visitor to Tamworth’s main centre, Council wants to hear your thoughts on proposed changes to speed zones.
Plans are in the pipeline, to restrict speeds to 40 kilometres an hour along seven busy streets within the CBD.
“I guess this is another step in the growth and the development and the modernisation of the Tamworth CBD and it’s great to see that out CBD now has the potential to move into line with other progressive cities around the nation.”
Council has committed $300,000 to the project.
It’s launched an online survey and plans to hold face-to-face consultations with concerned residents.
