Inverell has been named the country’s first ‘White Ribbon Community’.
The pilot project is a collaboration between White Ribbon Australia and the local council.
They’ll work alongside police, Hunter New England Health and Family and Community Services to target domestic violence within the town.
The announcement comes on the eve of National White Ribbon Day.
