Police have found a body this afternoon during their search for a missing woman at Muswellbrook.
The 38-year-old was last seen yesterday, when she went swimming with a 51-year-old man in the Hunter River near Sydney Street.
The man left the water briefly and when he returned she couldn’t be found.
Local police and SES personnel searched for the woman, but failed to find her.
At around midday today a body was located in waters nearby and is believed to be that of the missing woman.
The circumstances surrounding her death are now under investigation.
