DRIVER STABLE AFTER M1 TRUCK CRASH

A man is in a stable condition after a truck crash on the M1 this morning.

Around 5:30am today, emergency services responded to reports of a truck hitting a rock wall at Jolls Bridge, near Mooney Mooney.

With the truck on fire, the male driver was pulled from the vehicle by a number of motorists.

Fire & Rescue NSW were able to extinguish the blaze a short time later.

The driver, believed to be in his late 30’s, was treated at the scene before being airlifted to hospital in a critical condition. His condition has since been downgraded to stable.
