WOMAN ACCUSED OF CHARITY SCAM
A Central Coast woman will face court next month, accused of defrauding a charity tens of thousands of dollars.
Police allege the 42-year-old raised between $15,000 and $20,000 between 2013 and 2016, but failed to pass the money onto the charity.
Following an investigation, officers searched a home at Bateau Bay in July where they claim to have located a number of charity-related items, including fraudulent raffle tickets.
Last Friday, the woman was arrested at The Entrance and is expected to face Wyong Local Court on November 30.
Police say they expect to make further arrests.
