Eight lucky hospital workers are today celebrating, after winning $5-million in last night’s Oz Lotto.
The group’s ticket was one of three division one entries to share in the $15-million jackpot and was purchased at John Hunter Hospital’s internal newsagency.
A spokesperson for the winning syndicate said each member will receive $625,000 and most of them are planning to use to the money to pay off their mortgages.
“We are all usually hard-working staff but we’ve been hardly working this morning after I realised we’d won and I told the others,” she laughed.
