STORM RIPS THROUGH NARRABRI

It was a busy weekend for Narrabri’s SES crews, after the town was battered by a violent storm late on Saturday afternoon.
Winds reached speeds of 125 kilometres an hour, with witnesses describing the event as a “mini cyclone”.
The SES responded to 90 calls for assistance across the weekend, with damaged roofs and fences the common issue.
Nine out-of-town crews travelled to help, including some from Tamworth and Wee Waa.
