Hunter New England Health has taken extra steps to address concerns over elevated uranium levels in Kootingal’s water supply…adding information to the organisations website.
Appearing in the “frequently asked” section, it clearly defines what the mineral is, and guidelines of safe levels for human consumption.
It comes after the state’s Uranium Panel announced there was minimal risk of local residents suffering long-term health effects.
