The Supermoon is getting ready to break over the horizon just after 7pm tonight. It will be approximately 360,000km away making it look about 14 per cent brighter. There is some cloud cover moving north north due to a freshening southerly which is clearing the heat while triggering some showers.
The southerly change will continue moving north across the entire region cooling things down for all. It will be calm inland tomorrow and the southerly winds along the coast will ease. A new swell will finally arrive for surfers.
