Country music star, James Blundell, has been strumming the strings in Tamworth while shooting his new video clip.
[TAKE VO] (VO)Filming took place at the city’s Whaler memorial and on a Moore Creek property where Blundell tells the story of the Australian Light Horse’s Charge at Beersheba.
Blundell says the songs are really the hardest songs to write because they have to straddle so many things. If they are dry, historical resitations, that’s all been done before, if they’re over dramatised, why bother.”
The song, Riding into Town, came about after Blundell was approached by the 12th/16th Hunter River Lancers at the 2007 country music festival.
Captain Shane Green says it’s a big thing for us and to have someone of the prominence of James Blundell involved in this to give us his tim in the song is a big ticket item for us.
