$12.4-MILLION MAINTENANCE BACKLOG: LABOR OPPOSITION
The New South Wales Opposition says schools in the Tamworth electorate are being left behind, with a $12.4-million maintenance backlog.
Figures released by the Labor Opposition show 40 government schools in the electorate in need of toilet and sewer upgrades, window replacements and roof repairs.
Tamworth High School has the highest bill in the region, with $2.39-million in repairs needed.
Other schools exceeding the million dollar mark include Farrer, Oxley High and Gunnedah High School.
