A truck driver has escaped with minor injuries, after crashing his rig into a power pole in South Lismore this morning.
The freight truck was travelling along Elliott Street, when it crashed around 10:30, snapping the power pole in half and causing electrical lines to dangle overhead.
The driver, believe to be in his late 50s, was taken to Lismore Base Hospital with a bleeding nose and forehead.
The road was closed for most of the day, while emergency services and Essential Energy crews worked to make the area safe.
