Olympic boxing coach Glenn Rushton has taken over the training of Moree’s Oceania welterweight champion, Cameron Hammond.
‘The Hammer’ caught Rushton’s eye while sparring with another former Olympian, Jeff Horn.
Hammond’s first fight under his new coach is for the vacant Commonwealth welterweight title, in Toowoomba on November 25.
The 27 year old will be looking to extend his undefeated professional record to 17 wins.
