A residential home in Bar Beach sold for $4.7M at auction overnight.
The six bedroom, four bathroom home at 6 Parkway Avenue attracted local, national and international interest. There were five registered bidders and the property ended up being purchased by a local.
PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie managing director Mark Kentwell said the auction sale is a record for the beachside suburb.
“There have been a number of $4M plus sales in the region of late, some of them off market, but this is the highest single residential sale at auction in the region that we are aware of,” Mr Kentwell said.
