MORE TRAINEES TO BE PART OF LISMORE BASE HOSPITAL REDEVELOPMENT
At least 20 percent of the construction workforce on the next stage of the Lismore Base Hospital will be apprenticeships and trainees.
The NSW Regional Development Minister made the announcement in Lismore this morning, saying the Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program would go a long way to boosting employment.
“This is about leveraging the government’s investment in infrastructure and giving young people and people in general the opportunity to get the skills, the training and apprenticeships or a traineeship or start a career in the sector”
The stage 3B redevelopment will employ an average of 70 trades people per year, including 14 apprenticeship opportunities.
