A man who allegedly tried to procure a 13-year-old girl for sex in Ballina has been refused bail in Lismore Local Court.
Police allege the girl was standing at the intersection of Cherry and Crane Street about 3pm yesterday when she was approached by a 43-year-old man in a black sedan.
It’s alleged he got out of his car and tried to lead the girl away before she ran into a nearby business and called police.
He’ll next face court in December.
