STOLEN CAR ALLEGEDLY CLOCKS 130KPH DURING PURSUIT ON THE GOLD COAST
A stolen vehicle has collided with a police car, after allegedly clocking speed in excess of 130kph on the Gold Coast yesterday.
Just after 10:30pm last night, police allege a stolen Holden Commodore was seen on Hope Island Road.
Police followed the vehicle to a carpark off Pendraat Parade where two unmarked police vehicles attempted to intercept the vehicle.
The Commodore allegedly drove into one of the police vehicles, before driving away.
The vehicle was then tracked by helicopter and observed by police to travel in excess of 130kph and through several red lights.
The vehicle entered an underground car park in Marine Parade, Labrador where the driver was apprehended.
The 28-year-old male driver from Labrador has been charged with a string of offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and burglary.
