A young child has been approached by a man in a car near Port Macquarie earlier this week.
Around 3 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, a 10-year-old girl was walking at the intersection of Fiona Crescent and Miala Street, Lake Cathie.
According to police, an unknown man in a white car drove up and spoke to the girl, before leaving and coming back a second time.
Police are now hoping to speak to a man who may be able to assist them. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 50-years-old, with short grey and white hair, a short beard and reddish skin. He was seen wearing a blue shirt.
The vehicle is described as being a white small-to-medium, older-style car and may have a red light or reflective strip on the side of the car.
