A 25-year-old woman is facing Toronto Local Court today, after allegedly stealing a volunteer’s wallet and going on a $10,000 spending spree.
It’s alleged the woman stole the 63-year-old woman’s wallet, while she was performing volunteer duties at a Lake Macquarie netball complex on October 19.
Before the woman could cancel her credit card, more than $10,000 worth of purchases were made from various locations in the region.
The accused was yesterday arrested at a house in Windale, she was later charged with 30 counts of fraud, receiving stolen goods, possessing drugs and breach of bail.
